What is a healthy weight?

My 20 month-old male boxer, Duke, weighs over 90 pounds. He gets a lot of exercise, but I'm afraid he's getting too heavy. He doesn't seem fat to me-- he doesn't seem to have any excess fat on him, but he's so much bigger than any of the other Boxers I see. He wipes out his food every day, and his only snack is low-fat yogurt. How can I tell if he's too big?

Answer:

Average weight for a male boxer dog tends to be around 60-70 pounds. Average height is around 22-25 inches. Having said that I have seen boxers quite a bit smaller and larger than that average. It could that Duke is just very large for his breed. Best thing to do is ask your vet.
