Answer:

Being hyper is pretty common for a boxer that age. Get him more exercise to tire him out.

Apparently paper eating is very common with boxer dogs. I've even heard of some boxers who will eat money if you leave it lying around.

It may seem harmless at first, but paper eating can lead to serious intestinal problems for dogs.

There are several reasons why your boxer might be doing this. It could be boredom or attention seeking. It could just be his way "exploring" as dogs tend to do that with their mouths.

I any case here are a few steps you can take:

1. Keep any paper products out of reach. This might be a pain, but hopefully your dog will get out of this habit eventually.

2. Get him more exercise. This is true for most dogs, but especially for boxers. They have a ton of energy.

3. Get him some chew toys. Also your may want to try spraying with one of the many non-toxic taste deterrents.

4. Proper training and a good obedience class can't hurt. Scolding every time your catch him might hurt, as this may be the attention he's looking for.

This is an excellent training course if your looking for one.
